The only laser red Saab 9-5NG SportCombi is now for sale *update- sold March 2019*

It looks like Christmas may be coming early as the only laser-red Saab 9-5NG SportCombi is now for sale by its owner in the Czech Republic. Asking price: €42,900 excl. VAT / €51,909 incl. 21% VAT.

A Saab 9-5NG SportCombi is an extremely rare car, and seeing one for sale is even more rare! Over the past years, only very few actually changed owners and when they did, the sale went “turbo-fast”, with prices reaching true collector-levels (e.g number 10 from The Netherlands to Germany, number 25 from Germany to Sweden, and number 13, also moved from Germany to Sweden).

Now this stunning laser red car with VIN number YS3GN5MK6C9000019 was bought at the first Saab bankruptcy auction back in 2013 and has been in the possession of a true Saab fan since. While it originally left the Trollhättan factory in a Linear trim and a TTID4 engine, it has been professionally upgraded over the years (e.g. the rear is now featuring an Aero-look bumper/exhaust tips).

Rumours about the car becoming for sale had been circulating for a while already, but the decision to sell was confirmed in October 2018. Asking price: €51,909 including VAT, which translates to approximately SEK 532,000, GBP 45,500 or USD 59,000 (based on current exchange rates of 23 January 2019). Note: the seller lowered the price twice thus far: on 20 November from the original asking price was: €53,000 to €49,000 excl. VAT, and another price reduction on 23 January to €42,900.

Although the mileage is just over 200,000 km (which is arguably “low” for a TTID4 engine…), the car has always been meticulously maintained by the largest Saab dealer in the region (who happens to be the owner of SportCombi number 3…).

**UPDATE 21 MARCH 2019**

The car is now sold! It won’t go far as its new owner is a Saab enthusiast from the Czech republic.
