With 2018 coming to an end, we would like to thank you for all your support and wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy and Saaby 2019!
An eventful year
The Saab community remains very strong and it was really great to see a record number of delegates with their 9-5NG Sedans and SportCombis, plus 9-4X’s at the Pilots Wanted 2018 event in Kiel, Germany and at another really successful Swedish 9-5NG/9-4X community meeting, this time in Örebro.
From a publicity standpoint, we were covered quite a few times in the international media, and stories around the sale of the only Fjord Blue SportCombi and the only Laser Red SportCombi triggering quite some additional interest.
Swedish media also featured two separate articles about my Arctic White “Snow White”: a duel between the Saab 9-5NG SportCombi and the Volvo V90 in Teknikens Värld, and a reportage titled “The Saab that doesn’t actually exist” in a special “Saab Cars Magazine”.
Another major milestone was the publication of the first Saab 9-4X Production Report and the next edition of the Saab 9-5NG Report. These reports are truly a treasure trove for anyone interested in production details from these unicorn cars!
What’s in store for 2019?
A number of key events are scheduled for the coming year: the bi-annual Saab Museum Festival on 7-9 June in Trollhättan, Sweden, and the annual IntSaab event on 9-11 August in Weerselo, The Netherlands. And if that isn’t enough…the Swedish 9-5NG/9-4X community will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the 9-5NG launch on 14 and 15 September in Trollhättan.
Will there will be any more activities, announcements and/or other fun stuff related to the 9-5NG SportCombi and the 9-4X? Undoubtedly, so keep your eye on this site! And should you have any news to share yourself, please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
