Sc nr 08 has a new owner! :)

We received a message from the new owner off sc nr 8 we would like to publish and along with some fantastic images off his beautiful car.

I have been driving Saab since I was 19 Years old (now 31) and I can’t imagine driving something else. I’ve owned several Saabs, 900 Turbo’s, 9-3 Aero’s and Viggens, 9-3 Convertibles and also a 9-5NG sedan. But then the opportunity was there to buy a SportCombi I went crazy, I needed to have that Saab!

So I sold the 9-5 sedan and I bought the SportCombi. And yes it one from Venza. My friend Markus L from Autohaus Lafrentz did all the paperwork and that went very well, in two weeks the car hat papers and was alive! The car was transported from Almere Netherlands to Kiel Germany and then I was spotted several times, pictures were at Saabblog, right Tom? It was funny to read 😉

It’s vin-number #008 and it’s one of the produced Saabs, it was manufactured in may 2011, just before everything went down. I think it was used for chassis test work, the springs have labels on them from Bilstein.

The car has the 2.0 TiD 160 bhp engine with manuel gearbox. It’s a 2012 model so with start-stop and it indicates when to shift gear. The SC is a Vector model and very well equipped: HUD display, Xenon cornering lights, sunroof, sport seats, harman kardon, navigation, DVD entertainment system, lane departure warming, traffic sign recognition, advanced park assist, electric tailgate, handsfree doors, rear-camera etc. The color is Java Brown with beige interior.

I changed the Vector frontbumper with a brand new an totally complete Aero bumper, changed the 18″ rims for the 19″ Edge ones, mounted a Hirsch diffusor with exhaust pipes and I mounted an Aero steering wheel. I think it looks a bit better 😉 The only problem I have are the back lights, water is coming in and the rear LED bar is not working at the moment but he is not ripped like a lot SC have.

I’m not driving it much, mostly I keep the SC in my garage. Last Saturday I was at meeting in Holland, that was fun.

I also drive a 9-3SC in laser red with al lot of Hirsch stuff, a 9-3 Convertible in Artic White and a rare 9-3 Coupé in Cosmic Blue.
